ive been looking for stuff with thomas on and its proving difficult....

i have found and ordered a second hand copy of his solo CD Mediator which is now out of print. there are audio clips on his website www.sticktrix.com under "discography" which sound great.....the "on T.O.P" one is amazing!

i also found a couple of john wetton cd's but have no idea what the music is like???

then i found the Ultimatives Schlagzeug videos that he made in 1995 that are in german.....a couple of drum shops stock them but has anyone here seen them.....worth getting?

and lastly i found the CONRAD SCHRENK EXTRAVAGANZA * SAVE THE ROBOTS which is listed on audiophile but is out of stock.....the CD sounds great but i cant seem to find anywhere else that sells it on the net....

any heads up on thomas stuff would be great.....

I've got one of the Wettons. (the Tokyo double disc) It's crap.

Thomas is selling Mediator at his clinics. He also used to have the entire disc up online, streaming. It's very similar to the Conrad disc which I own. (Conrad is also working on releasing his 2nd disc which also features Thomas)

The Conrad disc isn't really that great.. the solo sections/improv sections are very very good and showcase Thomas very well, but the main melodies and tones are pretty horrid. (cue David Garfield with the Egyptian water flute solo please)

whats mediator like then? and why is the wetton crap....i listened to a clip from live in argentina and the singing sounded poo....?

and u know the clip from thomas' dvd on the bonus features (playing "777") what era was that....he sits and plays very differently??

Lol on the Big Drum comment Derek....I heartily agree. Miroslav Vitous' "Living" is close behind.

I have a John Wetton cd "Arkangel" and while I like some progressive stuff, this didn't do anything for me. Plus the drum mix was really bad, although Thomas plays great of course.

There's also the live B*Witched video if you're really desperate....like I was when I bought it. [img]redface.gif[/img]

ok well im not sure about uploading as i dont really understand how to do it.....im waiting to get thru to my mate who does a lot of internet stuff for me....i.e he put my MP3's on the net.

the way we did that was for me to use something called Flash FXP, send them to him and then he put them on. if you can tell me how to do it then i'll do it now....

is it not possible to email them to me one at a time or something....

if not, i'll sort something out....

well, Thomas' playing is great on everything but I just found the Wetton music to be horrible. Obviously that's just a matter of taste.

Same with Conrad's disc. One of the tracks on the DVD is from Conrad's 2nd album. (the first track on disc one, the opening number) I guess I just don't like the heavy synth stuff; just sounds lame to me. Thomas' playing is excellent on this but if I don't like the music, I really can't get through something more than once. (*cough* big drum *cough*)

Normally I don't like burning/trading stuff that's still for sale as these fusion guys make NO money and I think we should all support them. Having said that, if something is OOP I don't mind. (which this appears to be)
